After reducing a hostile creature to 0 hit points, you can use an action to collect 1 drop of its blood (or ichor) to fill the chalice. The chalice automatically assigns a star rating equal to the creature's CR (maximum 5 stars, minimum 1 star for CR 0).
As a bonus action, drink from the chalice to gain temporary hit points equal to 5 × the star rating (maximum 25). The rating fades after drinking.
Usable a number of times equal to your proficiency bonus per long rest (one use per collected drop).
